It feels so surreal to even type these words after six years away from the beauty and fashion event circuit, I finally stepped back into the magic of it all. And what better way to make my return than with Juvia’s Place Blush & Bronze Event in New York City this past Sunday?
From the moment I walked in, I was met with energy, creativity, and that unmistakable sparkle that only Juvia’s Place can bring. Live music was flowing, Sam Fine himself was center stage doing a makeup masterclass , glam stations were buzzing with activity, and every corner of the venue was designed to be an experience. It wasn’t just an event it was a full-on celebration of beauty, artistry, and community.
I can’t even explain how much fun I had, it felt like being reunited with a part of myself I’d missed dearly. After stepping back into this space, I realized just how much I love the connection, the artistry, and the unforgettable experiences these events create. Let’s dive into everything from my glam prep, to the food, the cocktails, and of course, the immersive beauty activations that had everyone talking.

I knew this event called for a glam that was equal parts radiant, bold, and sophisticated. Naturally, I reached straight for some of my favorite Juvia’s Place products to create a look that would hold up against bright lights, endless photos, and the vibrant energy of the event.
Bronzed Liquid Bronzer in Biscotti – The perfect soft bronze for adding depth to my complexion.
Blushed Cream Blush in Pink Passion – A stunning pop of color that gave me that fresh, youthful glow.
Bronzed Liquid Bronzer in Rich Cocoa – For a sculpted yet seamless contour.
Blushed Duo Vol 3 – I layered this on top of the cream blush for extra dimension and that airbrushed finish.
The Coffee Shop Collection Liquid Eyeshadow in Vanilla Velvet – A creamy, shimmery lid that looked luxe and effortless.
The Coffee Shop Collection Luxe Lip Liner in Espresso – Defined my lips with a rich outline.
The Coffee Shop Collection Lip Gloss in Coffee Break – Finished with the perfect glossy brown-nude lip.
This combo gave me a radiant bronzed look with soft pink cheeks and sultry coffee-shop-inspired lips. I felt confident, polished, and ready to step into the spotlight.
Walking into the venue, I was immediately struck by the breathtaking décor . The entire space was draped in a palette of gold accents, pink florals, and cream-gold touches that created a warm, luxurious vibe. Every corner felt like it had been designed for a photoshoot which, of course, it had.
The flower walls alone were enough to make you stop and pull out your phone. Paired with the glow of gold décor, it gave the event a feeling of elegance that perfectly reflected Juvia’s Place’s aesthetic bold, glamorous, and unapologetically beautiful.
The backdrop was more than just pretty it was immersive. It made you feel like you were stepping into the world of Juvia’s Place itself.
Now let’s talk food because trust me, it deserves its own spotlight. The servers floated around the room with trays of beautifully presented plates, and everything was seasoned and plated to perfection.
The dish that stole my heart? The platter with jollof rice and sweet potato. The flavors were rich, bold, and comforting exactly what you want when you’re mingling and vibing with beauty lovers.
And then there was the dessert table. Oh my goodness. Featuring creations from Mariam’s Kitchen , it was like stepping into a dream. Puff puff canapés were reimagined into bite-sized gourmet experiences. My personal favorites were:
Very Berry Puff Puff – light, fruity, and refreshing.
Salted Caramel Almond Puff Puff – a decadent twist with the perfect balance of sweet and salty.
Chocolate Delight Puff Puff – rich, indulgent, and impossible to eat just one.
Honestly, the dessert table alone could’ve been an event.
The bar was another standout moment of the night, offering a curated cocktail menu that perfectly tied into the Blush & Bronze theme. Each drink was crafted not just for taste, but for aesthetic every glass looked like a piece of art.
Here were the star cocktails of the evening:
Juvia Rose – A refreshing mix of Reposado Tequila, grapefruit, lime, a splash of soda, and lavender bitters. Light, floral, and perfect for summer.
Espresso Bronze – An espresso martini made with Ketel One Vodka, coffee liqueur, and espresso. It was smooth, rich, and so on-brand.
Lagos Bubble – A champagne cocktail with strawberry garnish that felt luxe and celebratory.
Wahala Love – A bright mix of Ketel One Vodka, cranberry juice, lime, and lavender bitters. Tangy, sweet, and oh-so-sippable.
Each sip felt like a little celebration in itself balanced flavors with that chic, elevated presentation.
Beyond the décor, food, and drinks, what made this event unforgettable were the interactive experiences . Juvia’s Place went all out to create stations and photo ops that made you feel like part of the brand story.
The Makeup Claw Machine – Yes, you read that right! Instead of plush toys, the claw machine was filled with makeup. It was such a fun and unique activation that had everyone lining up for a chance to snag a prize.
The Pink Carpet – A glamorous entry moment complete with a sparkling pink backdrop and the Juvia’s Place sign. It was red carpet vibes, but make it pink and Instagram-worthy.
Photo Ops & Flower Walls – Everywhere you turned, there was a chance to snap the perfect picture.
The Rooftop – The event ended with us spilling out onto the rooftop, soaking in the NYC skyline with our cocktails in hand. It was the perfect exclamation point to an already iconic day.
As I left the Juvia’s Place Blush & Bronze Event, I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude. To be invited to such a beautifully curated event, surrounded by beauty lovers, creators, and icons like Sam Fine, it was an honor.
After six years away from these kinds of gatherings, being back felt emotional and empowering. It reminded me of why I fell in love with beauty and fashion in the first place. Events like this are more than just product launches they’re about community, artistry, and celebrating individuality.
Thank you, Juvia’s Place, for inviting me into this unforgettable experience. My heart is full, my glam was on point, and my love for beauty has been reignited in ways I can’t wait to share with all of you. Until the next event, I’ll be reliving this magical Sunday over and over again.
